Larisa Alaverdyan: ICRC might be unaware of some Armenian POWs kept in Azerbaijan

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian captives the International Committee of the Red Cross is unaware about might be kept in Azerbaijan, an Armenian MP said.

“A person is considered to be missing unless an international organization asserts the fact of capture,” Heritage party member Larisa Alaverdyan told a news conference in Yerevan.

She emphasized that Armenia should address the International Court of Human Rights to investigate the killing of Armenian shepherd Manvel Saribekyan.

Mrs. Alaverdyan also noted that immediately after the incident, five groups of the Armenian parliament sent a letter to UN, OSCE, EU and CoE but received no response yet.
