Karen Nazaryan, Michelle Bachelet discuss gender equality issuesNovember 15, 2010 - 15:26 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On November 11, Armenia’s Ambassador to UN, a member of UN Economic and Social Council Karen Nazaryan met with the head of a new UN Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women, Michelle Bachelet. The parties focused on UN Women - UN Economic and Social Council cooperation, as well as implementation of gender equality policy. Nazaryan expressed hope for the newly-created entity to significantly contribute to resolution of women’s rights protection-related issues, Armenian Foreign Ministry press service reported.
