Armenia, U.S. negotiate trade developmentNovember 15, 2010 - 17:08 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Minister of Economy Nerses Yeritsyan said that improvement of business and investment environment were discussed during a meeting of U.S.-Armenia Joint Economic Task Force (USATF). “We focused on estimation of the macroeconomic situation in the country, discussed measures, which need to be implemented to secure a macroeconomic stability. Besides, improvement of business and investment environment, including competitive environment, tax and customs reforms were discussed,” Yeritsyan told journalists after the sitting. The Minister added that the parties also referred to the fields of agriculture, healthcare, energy and water resources. For his part, Coordinator for U.S. Assistance to Europe and Eurasia Daniel Rosenblum attached importance to a meeting with businessmen. “We heard their opinion with respect to expanding cooperation, increasing investments, boosting trade relations between Armenia and the U.S.,” he said.
