Seyran Ohanyan: we have quality advantage

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyanmet with men called up for military service to discuss the pressing problems in the army.

“The army is the main guarantor of Armenia’s security,” Minister Ohanyan said.

Dwelling on the violence against younger conscripts in the army, he said the problem persists in the armies across the globe. “There are and will be incidents in the armed forces but we are working to reduce their number,” the Minister said.

As to unemployment problem, he said that best soldiers are always offered a contract service.

“We resolve problems and maintain the military balance thanks to the quality advantage. In this context, replenishment of the army with people having higher education is extremely important,” Ohanyan said.
