Levon Aronian and Sergei Karjakin (Russia) shared the first two places, having equal additional indices, while Shakhriyar Mamedyarov (Azerbaijan) was the third. Since the tournament organizers had prepared only one cup, Aronian, as a true gentlemen, let his younger colleague have it, the more so as he won the World Blitz Chess Championship.
