Polish Ambassador visits Syunik

PanARMENIAN.Net - On November 17-18, 2010, the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Armenia, Mr. Zdzislaw Raczynski visited Syunik province, where he met with governor Surik Khachatryan to discuss prospects of cooperation between the province and Poland, particularly in the mining sector.

They two men also talked about a possible cooperation in the tourist sector.

The Ambassador and the governor opened a water pipeline in the Shikahogh village to have been built under the Poland Development Assistance Program.

The project financed by the Polish government was highly appreciated by the villagers.

The Ambassador was informed that communities of the neighboring villages are interested in launching similar projects, the Polish Embassy press office reported.
