CIS member states to sign new agreements on free trade zone in May 2011November 20, 2010 - 18:33 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said that agreements in the field of free trade are in force among the CIS member states. However, negotiations are held to reissue the bilateral agreements as contracts on a single economic zone, said Mr. Sargsyan based on the results of his two-day visit to Saint Petersburg. He added that it is necessary to define new mechanisms, taking into consideration mutual benefits. It suggests that the countries should have a list of goods and services, which are of priority importance for them. A special working group will deal with the matter until May 2011. “The countries are expected to sign new agreements on a free trade zone among the CIS member states in May,” said Sargsyan. Preparatory works on the free trade zone creation were in the focus of a meeting of the CIS heads of government in Saint Petersburg.
