Armenian NGOs resolved to press for annulment of all programs on uranium extraction

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian non-governmental organizations will file a suit to press for annulment of all programs on uranium extraction in Syunik province.

Lawyer Arthur Ghazaryan said that about 11 thousand people took part in the signature collection event in Kapan. “The Mayor of Kapan and Syunik governor stand against uranium extraction,” he said.

The suit will be likely filed next year, the reason being full public unawareness and absence of international expertise regarding safety of the extraction works.
