Bilateral relations were in the focus of the meeting. The parties expressed willingness to boost cooperation, stressing its importance both from political and moral perspectives. After the meeting, Mayor Villaraigosa organized a lunch in honor of the Artsakh Republic President, the Central Information Department of the Artsakh Republic President’s Office reported. Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, President of the Los Angeles City Council Eric Garcetti, member of the same council Paul Krekorian, Consular General of the Republic of Armenia in Los Angeles Grigor Hovhannisyan, President of the United Armenian Fund, Vice-President of Lincy foundation Harout Sassounyan, head of the Central Information Department of the Artsakh Republic President’s Office Davit Babayan, NKR permanent representative to the USA Robert Avetisyan and other officials participated in the events. Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
