 Fishing in Lake Sevan should be forbidden year-round, expert says November 26, 2010 - 14:10 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Representative of the Armenian Ministry of Nature Protection Norayr Abrahamyan said that 200 thousand of young fish at amount of AMD 28 million were set free into Lake Sevan in 2010. “The Institute of Hydroecology and Ichthyology will carry out a research in December,” he said. However, according to the Institute’s expert Bardukh Gabruelyan, a large number of fish has been already caught. “The process of population should have been more effective if properly controlled,” he said. “To have positive results, fishing in Lake Sevan should be forbidden year-round.”   Top stories As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed.
