Goran Lennmarker: Armenian-Turkish normalization important for Europe

PanARMENIAN.Net - The process of Armenian-Turkish reconciliation should be continued, as it’s important not only for Armenia and Turkey but also for entire Europe, chairman of the governing board of Stockholm International Peace Research Institute said.

“Settlement of historical disputes is an important step of European integration,” Goran Lennmarker said during “European Perspectives in the Context of Eastern Partnership and the Process of Negotiation of Association Agreement” international conference which kicked off in Yerevan on November 26, 2010.

“I have repeatedly stated that the process should be continued. And I know that there people in the Turkish government who sincerely want establishment of relations with Armenia,” he said.
