On November 27, the official ceremony of inauguration of the Orange shop took place in Meghri with the presence of Ara Dolunts, the Deputy Marzpet and Sergey Hayrapetyan, the Mayor of Meghri and other official personalities of the region. Starting from now, inhabitants of this remote town will be welcomed in the same warm and comfortable atmosphere as in Yerevan or in other towns and villages. Bruno Duthoit, who arrived in Meghri at the occasion of the official inauguration, said that in a very short period of time, they have built a large network and today we can state with pride that our services are available to more than 93% of the population of Armenia, including far and border villages. “From now on, Meghri residents can instantly have access to mobile internet, download files, music and films with high speed, I thank Meghri for the warm welcome and express my confidence that in our shop they will find everything they need for telecommunications,” he said. The visit to Meghri continued in the neighbouring Lehvaz village, where in the framework of the charity program directed to community development a new computer center with broadband internet was opened through the joint efforts of Orange and Shen benevolent organization.
