WikiLeaks available at new addressDecember 3, 2010 - 14:47 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - WikiLeaks whistle blowing website is now available at wikileaks.ch. As the WikiLeaks microblog at Twitter said, the website can still be reached at the old IP address. WikiLeaks went off-line late Thursday, December 2, after a U.S. firm providing its domain name system said the controversial website had come under mass denial-of-service attacks. EveryDNS.net said it had "terminated" its services to WikiLeaks as the attacks and ones expected in the future would "threaten the stability" of the company's services to nearly 500,000 other websites. The EveryDNS.net statement came as Amazon.com said such denial of service attacks or political pressure from U.S. officials had not led it to stop hosting WikiLeaks. In response to the website going off-line, WikiLeaks sent out a message on social media site Twitter appealing for financial support. "WikiLeaks.org domain killed by US everydns.net after claimed mass attacks KEEP US STRONG," it said, adding a link to a website to make donations. WikiLeaks also slammed Amazon for dropping it, saying via Twitter that if Amazon was "so uncomfortable with the First Amendment (of the U.S. Constitution), they should get out of the business of selling books." EveryDNS.net said in its statement that it had withdrawn domain name system services to WikiLeaks.org at 10 p.m. ET Thursday. "The services were terminated for violation of the provision which states that 'Member shall not interfere with another Member's use and enjoyment of the Service or another entity's use and enjoyment of similar services," the statement said.
