Creation of CIS council for cooperation in fundamental science to be discussed in MinskDecember 7, 2010 - 17:54 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - An agreement on creation of a council for cooperation in fundamental science will be discussed during a meeting of expert group of the CIS Executive Committee due December 7-8 in Minsk. The National Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyzstan has initiated and prepared the draft agreement on creation of the council for cooperation in fundamental sciences. It is expected that the council will be defining priority directions of mutual interest and cooperation forms in fundamental science, preparing offers on formation of interstate programs and international projects of fundamental studies, facilitating establishment of contacts between scientific organizations of the CIS member states, the press service of the CIS Executive Committee reported. During the meeting in Minsk, experts will also consider the draft provision on the council for cooperation in fundamental science, which will make an inseparable part of the agreement. The provision will define basic directions of the council activity, its functions and rights, procedure for its organization and operation’s financing.
