Gagik Minasyan: Karabakh conflict resolution within OSCE MG leads to NKR international recognition

PanARMENIAN.Net - Member of the Republican Party of Armenia parliamentary group Gagik Minasyan said that the OSCE summit in Astana on showed once again that Armenia’s and international community’s stances on Karabakh are similar.

Referring to statements made by the OSCE Minsk Group’s Co-Chair countries, Minasyan told a press conference in Yerevan that all of them have confirmed that none of the three basic principles is a priority, what runs counter to Azerbaijan’s interests. Minasyan also noted that the Karabakh conflict settlement within the OSCE Minsk Group leads to NKR’s international recognition.

At the same time, he has not excluded the possibility that, suffering a diplomatic defeat during the summit, Baku may again resort to subversive attacks on the contact line of the Karabakh and Azerbaijani armed forces. In such case, Armenia should retaliate Azerbaijan’s actions, said Minasyan.

As for the Armenian-Turkish normalization, Minasyan said that Turkey should display a political will and ratify the protocols or state that it does not intend to do so.

However, he added that Ankara will hardly take actions on the matter until the political elections in Turkey.
