Heritage leader: Armenia should recognize NKR without waiting for resumption of hostilities by Azerbaijan

PanARMENIAN.Net - Leader of opposition Heritage party Raffi Hovannisian said that Azerbaijan has predetermined the negotiations destiny.

Baku clearly states that it will never recognize NKR, Hovannisian told a press conference in Yerevan.

Under such conditions, to keep the balance, Armenia should recognize Artsakh’s independence, without waiting for the resumption of hostilities by Azerbaijan.

The leader of Heritage party opposed to the ruling coalition’s opinion that allegedly the parliamentary group has affected the negotiation process, putting the bill on NKR recognition to vote in the parliament and knowing that it will not be supported by the majority.

“We have not caused damage to the negotiations, but showed that Artsakh’s recognition is an acute problem,” he said.
