Yerevan hosts the 2nd New Year’s BazaarDecember 11, 2010 - 16:34 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On December 11, Yerevan city administration is hosting a New Year’s Bazaar, organized by Welcome to Armenia diplomatic association jointly with Yerevan Mayor’s Office. “The event proceeds will be allocated to promotion of art schools in Yerevan,” the president of Welcome to Armenia association, Armenian Foreign Minister’s spouse Natalya Nalbandian stated in her opening remarks. “New Year’s Bazaar hosts representatives of 21 embassies, UN Office in Armenia and local organizations, as well as a number of private entrepreneurs. A prize of a cell phone, courtesy of Orange Armenia mobile operator, will be granted to the winner of the lottery to be held during the Bazaar,” she noted. Proceeds from 2009 New Year Bazaar were allocated to reconstruction of 3 kindergartens in Yerevan’s Shengavit administrative distinct. National costumes, dishes, souvenirs, decorations, New Year accessories from different countries worldwide are exhibited at current charity event.
