Beglaryan’s resignation is the ‘first fruit’, former Mayor says![]() December 13, 2010 - 15:31 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Gagik Beglaryan’s resignation is an extraordinary phenomenon for Armenia, according to Vahagn Khachatryan, former Mayor of Yerevan. “This resignation is the ‘first fruit’,” Khachatryan told a news conference in Yerevan. “I can’t assess Beglaryan’s resignation as positive. I would prefer to see the authorities resign,” he said, adding that the power will change before the scheduled elections. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
