  Beglaryan’s resignation is the ‘first fruit’, former Mayor says December 13, 2010 - 15:31 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Gagik Beglaryan’s resignation is an extraordinary phenomenon for Armenia, according to Vahagn Khachatryan, former Mayor of Yerevan. “This resignation is the ‘first fruit’,” Khachatryan told a news conference in Yerevan. “I can’t assess Beglaryan’s resignation as positive. I would prefer to see the authorities resign,” he said, adding that the power will change before the scheduled elections. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
