Director of BSC: Armenia should react more rapidly to changes in world

PanARMENIAN.Net - Director of BSC training and consulting company Samvel Gevorgyan said that Armenia is considerably behind the world’s development pace.

“If we are late for another couple of years, the gap will be too big,” he said.

The developing countries and competitive business rapidly react to these changes, due to which they adopt decisions on production of more competitive output, which is imported to Armenia.

“Local output becomes uncompetitive against this background,” said Gevorgyan.

According to him, this is reasoned by the economic policy of the country’s authorities that inadequately reacts to the world challenges. Moreover, Gevorgyan believes that Armenia’s economic development is hampered by corruption and unequal competition conditions.

Besides, he pointed to unequal development of the country’s regions among the reasons behind the slow development rate.
