Armenian Assembly of America urges swift passage of H. Res. 252

PanARMENIAN.Net - With only days remaining before Congress adjourns, the Armenian Assembly of America urges swift passage of H. Res. 252, the Armenian Genocide resolution.

“We are calling upon all people of good will to stand up to genocide denial by sending a free email to your Representative urging passage of H. Res. 252 by the House of Representatives,” the Assembly said in a statement.

Earlier this year, the House Foreign Affairs Committee, under the leadership of Chairman Howard Berman (D-CA), passed H. Res. 252, the Armenian Genocide Resolution. This important human rights legislation was introduced by Reps. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and George Radanovich (R-CA), along with Armenian Caucus Co-Chairs Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) and Mark Kirk (R-IL), and has garnered strong bi-partisan support with over 140 cosponsors.
