Ahmadinejad: Iran is a nuclear powerDecember 20, 2010 - 09:37 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad urged western countries to quit policy of confrontation with Iran. He also recommended that the west ‘choose policy of cooperation, because all are winners in this policy and Iran has always been seeking it'. President Ahmadinejad, in a live interview with Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), stressed that “confrontation policy against Iran has failed”. “In recent years, the west did its best to prevent Iran from being nuclear, so they used all policies; including imposing sanctions and other kinds of pressures and propaganda, but they were not effective and Iran became nuclear by defeating all those policies,” he said. “Resolutions and sanctions had no effect on Iran, but they became a motive for nation to move forward, so if those countries want to continue such policies, their consequences are clear from now.” Ahmadinejad underlined that in a constructive cooperation atmosphere, everybody would be a winner and pointed out that why we should enter into a situation that nations lose their rights and there would be no positive result either, IRNA reported.
