Ashotyan: teachers’ certification system allows better assessment of professionalismDecember 20, 2010 - 14:43 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Minister of Science and Education Armen Ashotyan summarized the results of 2010’s reforms in educational sector at a news conference in Yerevan. The Minister noted the introduction of teachers’ certification system to be among the most important improvements. “Certification mechanisms enable assessment of efficiency of the teachers, allowing the establishment of salary system based on the level of professionalism.” As the Minister noted, this year, 100 Armenian teachers were retrained in Georgia.
