Ruben Safrastyan: H.Res.252 stands better chance to be adopted in 2011![]() ![]() PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian Genocide stands a better chance to be adopted by the House of Representatives in 2011, according to director of the Institute of Oriental Studies at RA NAS. “The 111th Congress is mostly comprised of Republicans who are disappointed with Turkey’s current policy,” Ruben Safrastyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter. “There were 8 votes less than needed in 2009. If these votes are secured this year, the resolution can pass,” he said. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
