Hayk Demoyan: Armenian-Turkish normalization has been failed by Turkey

PanARMENIAN.Net - Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum Institute Hayk Demoyan said that the Armenian-Turkish normalization has ended.

The Protocols signed in Zurich have exhausted themselves and if the process is resumed, it cannot be continued based on the old protocols, Demoyan told a press conference in Yerevan. A new document is needed for the process resumption.

“It is important to conceive that the process has been failed at the initiative of Turkey. After signing the protocols, Ankara was waiting for bonuses - progress in the Karabakh conflict settlement, suspension of the Armenian Genocide international recognition and fixation of the current Armenian-Turkish border. However, Turkey has not ratified the Protocols, failing to gain anything,” said Demoyan.

He noted that Armenia made it clear that it will not make concessions in the Armenian-Turkish relations or any other matter.
