  Hayk Demoyan: international recognition of Genocide unrelated to other processes  December 27, 2010 - 15:06 AMTPanARMENIAN.Net - Switzerland's recognition of the Armenian Genocide in 2010, with Armenia-Turkey rapprochement in full swing, came as another proof that Genocide recognition could be unrelated to other processes, being dependent on national interests rather than the efforts of the Armenian lobby, according to Armenian Genocide Museum Institute director, historian Hayk Demoyan. At a news conference in Yerevan, the expert also dwelled on the AGMI activities, which aim to increase international awareness of the Genocide through exhibitions, conferences and lectures. “Our goal is to achieve Armenian Genocide recognition through causing full acknowledgement of the fact, rather than based on political interests,” Demoyan stressed. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
