  Azerbaijan planning to “surprise” neighbor countries with new armaments January 10, 2011 - 12:08 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijan is planning to “surprise” neighbor countries with new armaments in the near future. Minister of Defense Industry Yaver Jamalov said new types of weapons and ammunition will be produced at 8 workshops to be launched till March 2011. “5 powder mills will be constructed. Grenade launchers, missiles as well as antitank shells with laser aiming will be produced,” he said. Azerbaijan doubled defense production over the past year. Till the end of the current year, Baku plans to increase the list of produced armaments from 413 to 470, AZE.az reported.
