Drawing for 71st Armenian Chess Championship held

PanARMENIAN.Net - On January 17, Tigran Petrossian chess house in Yerevan hosted a drawing for the 71st Armenian Chess Championship due January 18 through January 30.

Championship prize fund is AMD 1,200 mln, AMD 800 and 500 thousand for winners of 1-3rd places. 1-5 places winners will qualify for Europe Championship; 6-8 places winners will gain entrance to Aeroflot Open.

12 grandmasters will gather for the 1st round, paired as follows: Avetik Grigoryan - Tigran Petrosyan, Robert Hovhannesyan - Tigran Kotanjyan, Arman Pashikyan - Artashes Minasyan, Zaven Andriasyan - Ara Minasyan, Hrant Melkumyan - David Petrosyan, Samvel Ter-Sahakyan - Ashot Anastasyan.
