As the head of Eurovision 2011 Armenian Delegation Gohar Gasparyan told a news conference in Yerevan, the event will help increase the world’s awareness of Armenia. “The Swiss expert seemed impressed with conditions we offered,” she noted. “We have enough funding to organize the contest properly. Part of the sum will be allocated by the European Broadcasting Union,” the chairman of Armenian Public TV and Radio Broadcasting Company Aleksan Harutyunyan said. World-famous artists will be invited to perform at the contest, hosting participants from 18-20 countries.
