UK hopes for Armenian-Turkish reconciliation

PanARMENIAN.Net - The UK calls on Yerevan and Ankara to ratify the protocols on normalization of bilateral relations without preconditions, British Ambassador to Armenia said.

“We haven’t lost hope for the Armenian-Turkish reconciliation,” Charles Lonsdale told journalists on January 20.

“We closely watch the process and think that maintenance of contacts is very important,” he said.

The Ambassador also emphasized that closed border is not a normal phenomenon in the 21st century.
