ARMENIA TO BE REPRESENTED AT PACE SPRING MEETINGS IN ISTANBUL

PanARMENIAN.Net - YEREVAN, May 16. /Mediamax/. Head of the permanent parliamentary commission for foreign affairs Hovanes Hovanesian will represent Armenia at the spring meetings of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), which are to be held in Istanbul on May 21-23.

On May 21st, the meeting of the PACE Committee for political issues will take place in Istanbul, during which there will be an exchange of opinions with Turkish Foreign Minister Ismail Cem. On May 22-23, the meeting of the permanent committee of PACE will be held, at which Vice Prime Minister of Turkey will speak in front of the participants.

Hovanes Hovanesian said in the interview to Mediamax that the Armenian delegation in PACE works rather actively and doesn't limit itself to questions that are important for Armenia. "We take part in the discussion of common European issues, which attests to the fact that unlike the Azerbaijan, we joined the Council of Europe not just to solve our own problems", the parliamentarian stressed. --0--
