RA President optimistic about resolution of AAC problem in GeorgiaJanuary 27, 2011 - 14:13 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said that Georgia is a very important chain not only as Armenia’s transit route, but also in communication with the international community, other countries in general. “We try to do our best so that Georgians do not face any difficulties in Armenia and Armenians do not face problems in Georgia,” Sargsyan said in an interview with Echo of Moscow, adding that everything is done so that the current bilateral relations bring benefits to the two peoples. Referring to the activity and status of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia, Sargsyan expressed confidence that the problem will solved soon. “First, we always discuss the matter with the Georgian President; second, Georgia has international obligations. Georgia has joined the Council of Europe with these very obligations. Thus, I am optimistic about it,” the Armenian leader said.
