As Ms. Karine Kuyumjyan told a news conference in Yerevan, “in 2010, 923 baby girls were named Mane, with names like Milena, Ani, Anahit, Elen, Nare among the most popular.” 1139 new-born boys were named Narek, with David, Gor, Eric and Arman as the most popular. In all, 23 800 boys and 20 900 girls were born in Armenia in 2010. ![]() ![]() As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed.
