Baku’s protests against Iran caused by fear, expert says

PanARMENIAN.Net - There is an impression that after the revolutions in the Arab world, Azerbaijan fears an Islamic revolution in the country, an Armenian expert said.

“Baku’s protests against Iran is caused by this fear,” Noravank foundation deputy director Sevak Sarukhanyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

“Azeri politicians believe that Islam presents a danger for Azerbaijan. However, having finished with the opposition, Baku authorities stir up Islamist movements,” he said, adding that Iran is capable to incite an Islamic revolution.

Meanwhile, according to Azeri political analyst Fikret Sadykhov, it’s high time Azerbaijan launched an offensive information policy towards Iran.
