Dashnaktsutyun supports formation of bicameral parliament involving Diaspora representatives

PanARMENIAN.Net - ARF Dashnaktsutyun (ARFD) supports formation of bicameral parliament which includes Diaspora representatives.

As the representative of ARFD supreme body Armen Rustamyan told a news conference in Yerevan, its important to create a format allowing Diaspora’s participation in resolving issues crucial to the whole Armenian nation.

“However, focusing on a single option should be avoided,” he said, advising flexible approach to the idea. “It’s important that the idea should not be discredited,” Rustamyan stressed, citing Italy as the country with Diaspora representatives as members of legislative body.

Rustamyan refuted statement on creation of bicameral parliament being the authorities’ concession to ARFD, further naming Dashnaktsutyun as the author of the idea.
