Armenian basilica dated 5th or 6th century discovered on Mount Ararat

PanARMENIAN.Net - Professor Vahagn Gurzadyan (astrophysicist, who discovered a crater on Mount Ararat) said that he took pictures of ruins in the closed area, where the meteorite crater was revealed.

“It turned out that they are ruins of an Armenian basilica dated 5th or 6th century, which is unknown to specialists,” Gurzadyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

Gurzadyan and Academician Varazdat Harutyunyan published an article about it in Historical-Philological Researches journal in 2006.
