Armenian parliament accepts Ombudsman’s resignation letter

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian parliament accepted a letter of resignation submitted by Ombudsman Armen Harutyunyan.

Elections of a new human rights defender will most probably be held at February 23-March 4 parliamentary session.

Armenian Ombudsman Armen Harutyunyan resigned his position, having submitted the resignation letter to the National Assembly. As Harutyunyan stated earlier, he accepted the position of UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Representative in Central Asia.
