Russia not to solve problem of Dagestan’s villages in Azerbaijan

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Russian Foreign Ministry commented on article of Milrad Fatullayev, entitled: To Stay in Russia, which was prepared in Makhachkala and published by Nezavisimaya Gazeta on February 9.

“Both Moscow and Makhachkala are well aware of problems of the two small villages populated by Russian citizens in Azerbaijan, to which the article referred. However, Azerbaijan and Russia have no mutual territorial claims now,” the Foreign Ministry said in its comments.

Nevertheless, according to Spokesman of the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexander Lukashevich, there is a problem of Russian citizens residing in Hrah-Uba and Uryan-Uba settlements. It is a complicate and delicate problem. The Russian Foreign Ministry, in collaboration with other federal ministries and structures, and Dagestan’s leadership deal with its settlement.

“The Russian Foreign Ministry believes that the problem cannot be resolved through rallies. The matter refers to certain people; continuous and diligent efforts based on individual approach to any individual, family are required to protect their interests,” the press service of the Russian MFA quoted Lukashevich as saying.
