Expert: a basic document on Karabakh conflict must be worked out

PanARMENIAN.Net - To settle the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, a basic document to meet the interests of all conflicting parties should be worked out, according to CIS States Institute’s Armenia subsidiary director.

As political expert Alexander Markarov told a news conference in Yerevan, points already agreed should be included in the document. The expert cited October 2010 agreement between Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents on exchange of prisoners as an example.

“Withdrawal of snipers from the line of contact should be among points stipulated,” Markarov stated.
