Dick Advocaat thinks Armenian team has fervent fans

PanARMENIAN.Net - Chief Coach of the Russian football team Dick Advocaat strongly believes that when his team members are in a good shape, they are able to achieve great results and Russia may qualify for the main competition of Euro-2012.

Advocaat said he is disappointed after Russia’s defeat in the friendly with Iran, but is still optimistic.

“The squad to play in Yerevan will differ from the one in the match with Iran. If the defeat in the game with Iran somehow helps us in celebrating victory over Armenia, it will mean that we did a good job,” sovsport.ru quoted Advocaat as saying.

He also considers that the Armenian team has fervent fans who will support it in Yerevan.

However, if Russian footballers are in a good physical shape, they will succeed, concluded Advocaat.

Yerevan will host Armenia-Russia match in the UEFA EURO-2012 qualification group on March 26. The return match will take place in Russia on June 4.
