Snowfall prevents Turkish Foreign Minister from leaving Batumi

PanARMENIAN.Net - Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu is not able to leave Batumi due to bad weather. The Minister's plane is still in Batumi and can not depart from the local airport, the Georgian Foreign Ministry reported.

Davutoglu arrived in Batumi yesterday afternoon and was due to fly to Tbilisi this morning.

Davutoglu was expected to meet with his Georgian counterpart Grigol Vashadze at 11:00 local time in Tbilisi, but the meeting has been postponed indefinitely, according to Trend.

A heavy snowfall is observed in western Georgia, despite the clear and sunny weather in Tbilisi.
