Samsung’s Exynos 4210 processor chosen to power Galaxy S IIFebruary 16, 2011 - 11:12 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Samsung Electronics's 1 GHz, dual-core application processor, the Exynos 4210, has been chosen to power Samsung's flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S II. The Exynos 4210 processor was previously announced as Orion. The Exynos 4210 supports multimedia features such as video encoder/decoder that allows consumers to record and playback 1080P full HD resolution images at 30 frames per second. The processor also provides a range of high speed memory interfaces including low power DDR2, DDR3 and a number of non-volatile memory sources. A variety of codecs are available for a more convenient user environment especially as multimedia sources vary, Telecom Paper reported.
