Armenia praised dynamics of relations development with Iran

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met in Yerevan with Deputy Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Reza Rauf Sheibani and delegation led by him.

Mr. Nalbandian praised the level and dynamics of the Armenian-Iranian relations development.

The parties discussed the upcoming visit of the Iranian President to Yerevan.

They also referred to implementation of joint programs in the field of energy and transport, the RA MFA press service reported.

It’s been several weeks since Azerbaijanis have been voicing severe concern over developing Armenia-Iran relations. Obviously, numerous anti-Iranian rallies in Baku and Ankara aim to force Tehran to turn away from Yerevan.

All the actions against Iran are supposed to be a result of Baku’s fear. Specifically, Islam’s influence is growing in Azerbaijan and Baku is afraid of the possibility that Iran may provoke an Islamic revolution there in future.

While Azerbaijan tries to exacerbate Iran-Armenia ties, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has scheduled a visit to Armenia. Return visit of Armenian President to Iran is planned as well as his participation in Novruz festivities.
