TEDxYerevan 2011 to be held Sept. 24February 17, 2011 - 12:26 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Encouraged by the success of the inaugural TEDxYerevan event, “Beyond Borders” – held in the Fall of 2010 –TED has licensed the second TEDxYerevan for 2011. Entitled TEDxYerevan “Becoming Young”, the theme for this year’s conference will focus on understanding youth, maturity, transitions, individual, institutional and national. A special session entitled “Twenty” for most creative thinkers will sum up the conference. Ideas for TEDx Talks as well as nominations or suggestions for potential speakers are being accepted. TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. Started as a four-day conference in California 25 years ago, TED has grown to support those world-changing ideas with multiple initiatives. The annual TED Conference invites the world's leading thinkers and doers to speak for 18 minutes. TEDxYerevan 2010 featured seventeen speakers, including Serj Tankian via videotape, and received the support of nearly a dozen sponsors.
