The website has been launched through the efforts of the Armenian Monuments Awareness Project. It is available at http://armenianmonuments.org and http://armenianheritage.org in Armenian, English, Russian, French and Italian languages. The ‘Discover Armenia’s Monuments’ section provides information on 175 cultural monuments and sites of Armenia. The ‘Learning and Resources’ section is for obtaining and exchanging information on Armenia’s heritage by specialists, who are welcome to place their works there. AMAP program director Richard Ney said during the presentation that the website is a kind of summarization of the organization’s three-year activity. During this period, 845 multi-language information ports, panels and directional signs (including Braille Boards) were installed throughout Armenia. A range of other projects were implemented as well. AMAP is supported by USAID/CAPS, the Honorary Consul for Italy in Gyumri, corporate sponsor VivaCell-MTS, the U.S. Ambassador Cultural Fund, the Norwegian Ministry for Foreign Affairs and other generous supporters of the project.
