  Iran failed the attempt at implementing revolution, Armenian expert believes February 17, 2011 - 17:07 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The deputy director of Noravank foundation Sevak Sarukhanyan, believes Iran has failed in its attempt to follow the suit of Egypt and Tunisia by implementing a revolution. “Mobilisation of public forces before 2012 parliamentary elections was the main purpose behind opposition rallies in Iran,” the expert believes. “Although U.S. and the west would benefit from the change of power in Iran, the riots were prompted by public discontent, fomented by former authorities. Should the opposition come to power, Armenia-Iran relations will still remain unaffected. The only possible threat to bilateral relation would be caused by complete destabilization of situation in Iran, negatively influencing the whole region,” Sarukhanyan stressed.
