Maxim Vengerov holds master class in Yerevan, dances tango for young musiciansFebruary 21, 2011 - 15:45 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - World-known violinist and conductor, Grammy award winner Maxim Vengerov held a master class with UNICEF youth orchestra at Yerevan State Conservatory. The young musicians conducted by Vengerov performed Astor Piazzolla’s tango. However, Vengerov not only conducted the master class, but also danced the tango for young musicians. “I have always wanted UNICEF to have a youth orchestra, and I am happy that it exists in Armenia,” he said. Vengerov praised the youth orchestra performance, saying that they played rather professionally.
