NEW SECRETARY OF SECURITY COUNCIL AND COUNSELOR TO THE PRESIDENT APPOINTED IN NKR

PanARMENIAN.Net - YEREVAN, April 19. /Mediamax/. The President of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) Arkady Ghukasian signed the decree of appointing Karen Baburian the Secretary of the Security Council of NKR.

As Mediamax was informed today in the press office of NKR president, by another decree, President Ghukasian appointed Georgiy Petrosian his counselor.

In 1993-1996, Karen Baburian was the acting chairman, later the chairman of the Supreme Council of NKR. In 1997, he held the post of deputy foreign minister of NKR.

Georgiy Petrosian was a deputy of the Supreme Council of Armenia in 1990-1995. Simultaneously, in January 1992, he was elected the deputy of the Supreme Council of NKR. He has held the post of deputy chairman of the parliament and acting chairman of the parliament. Petrosian is a member of Dashnaktsutyun party. --0--
