Zurabyan: Armenian authorities will meet opposition halfway

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian authorities will agree to compromise as result of strong pressure of the Armenian National Congress, according to ANC coordinator.

“They are not madcaps to underestimate what’s going on. The number of people ready to struggle for establishment of legitimate power and democracy is growing in Armenia and the March 1 rally is a bright evidence of this,” Levon Zurabyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

Zurabyan disagreed that ANC’s refraining from radical actions will decrease the number of the bloc’s supporters.

“The Armenian National Congress never violated any law and doesn’t want to apply anti- constitutional means. Should the authorities behave like Mubarak or Gaddafi, they will themselves choose this scenario,” he said.
