RPA member sees no alternative to OSCE MG in Karabakh conflict settlement

PanARMENIAN.Net - Member of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Artak Zakaryan commented on the results of trilateral presidential meeting in Sochi at news conference in Yerevan.

“The adopted statement, which is based on the meeting results, proved the OSCE Minsk Group to be the only competent format for the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement,” he noted.

The Foreign Ministries of OSCE MG co-chairing states, France and U.S., have expressed their full support for Russia’s peacemaking initiatives, the RPA member added.

“Azerbaijan often expresses skepticism over MG mission, resorting to military rhetoric. Baku’s actions are a sign of a diplomatic failure, inability to shift the talks to a more advantageous course,” he said.

“The international community has to urge Azerbaijan to base its policy on negotiations,” Zakaryan concluded.
