Young shooters trained in Azerbaijan

PanARMENIAN.Net - Shooting exercises will be held for schoolchildren and teenagers in Azerbaijan, Azerbaijani National Council of Voluntary Military Sports and Patriotic Society Chairman, Major-General Novruzali Orujov stated.

He said Russian pneumatic guns have already been ordered. Courses will begin when these guns are delivered.

"We have already purchased pneumatic Kalashnikov rifles. The courses will be conducted primarily with 8-11 graders," he said. "After graduation, they will pass a course with military weapons in military units."

He said machine gunners are particularly important in positional battles at close quarters.

"Experienced gunners can become a decisive factor in battle," he said. "So, we are paying special attention to the preparation of machine gunners for the Azerbaijani army," Trend cited Orujov as saying.
